TOP 8 locations for proposal Photoshoot in Barcelona

Planning to propose to your partner? Great! Barcelona is a perfect place to memorize this moment forever! It has a lot of breathtaking locations.

I’ve been lucky to capture many proposals and I know how to make the most wonderful photos. I’m here to help you not only during this marvellous moment but to prepare for it as well.

When planning a proposal you probably were already thinking about the famous Park Guell or the fountains in Plaza España. These locations are worth visiting but won’t work if you want to take proposal photos!

In my guide, I offer you a list of locations that will suit your needs better. They have everything: beautiful backgrounds, the possibility for the photographer to be hidden, and many spots around to do some engagement pictures right after the proposal.

The Ciutadella Park is my top recommendation. It is perfect because of the beautiful light both in the morning and at sunset. Even if it's crowded in the evening there is always a clean background in front of which we can take photos.

The Labyrinth Park is a bit far from everything and because of that, it’s less touristy than other locations. It also has amazing backgrounds and works perfectly for morning or afternoon sessions.

Please keep in mind that the park offers free entries on Wednesdays and Sundays so on these days it’s crowded.

Wishing to capture your proposal at the sunrise? Beach is a perfect choice for you! It works best for the morning proposals as in the afternoon the area gets super crowded. So if you love sunrise and you are an early bird couple this is a spot for you!

Keep in mind that in late autumn or winter it might be cold there, but on a summer morning, the beach will work just great!

Looking for a breathtaking view of Barcelona? Bunkers Guinardó is a unique place that will make your proposal memories unforgettable!

If you pick this location keep in mind that you can go there only in the morning. In the afternoon and especially at sunset the place is crowded with people.

The Greek Theatre is another option with the amazing city view and the park. Come there during the sunset and you will see how golden soft light covers its territory. Keep in mind that It’s not the best choice for a morning shoot as during early hours the theater is in the shade.

The Gothic Quarter is probably the most popular and busy area. But don’t worry, we can always take pictures in front of one of the many doors even if there are many people around.

The Gothic Quarter works fine for both morning and evening shoots. However, I suggest that we take photos in the morning so you can enjoy the empty streets and feel more relaxed.

Probably the most difficult locations to implement but definitely the most romantic!

MARIMURTRA BOTANICAL GARDEN

If you want something different and unique, although this beautiful garden is located around 1 hour driving from Barcelona. It definitely worth going there!

These are my top recommendations for a surprise proposal. However, if you have any specific ideas in mind we can go to a location of your choice.

Feel free to contact me and book your photoshoot. I'll help you with all the details.
